As the overseer of the state-of-the-art Lexus Velodrome, a 64,000 multi-sport complex situated in the heart of Detroit at I-75 and Mack Avenue, the Detroit Fitness Foundation is actively working towards its mission every day. This facility, sponsored by Lexus and three dedicated dealers – Meade Lexus of Lakeside, Meade Lexus of Southfield, and Lexus of Ann Arbor. The Lexus Velodrome has quickly become a gateway to fitness for both the young and old in the community.

By offering free programs for children aged 17 and under and free facility time to seniors five days a week, the Lexus Velodrome programming serves to meet the goals of the mission. Its impact is already noticeable, with more than 1,000+ youths taught how to ride a bike or become better riders during Summer Cycling Camps and our Kid Programs. and 14 youth sent to the nationals in California in 2019 as part of the Lexus Junior Team of bike racers, winning a total of 2 Gold 1 Silver, and 7 Bronze medals. Our work with seniors is also making strides, with growing weekly usage.
